1) Select the steel and geometry best suited for your application, and determine any special dimension requirements. e.g. What will the sword be used for? collection, kata, cutting? If you plan to cut with the sword, what type(s) of target(s) do you cut? bamboo? mats? if you cut mats, what types of mats do you cut (i.e. beach mats, wara, Mugen Dachi, used Japanese tatami). Are you a practitioner? What school do you study under?
2) Choose tsuba, fuchi/kashira, habaki, ito, tsukamaki style, and saya style/finish. There are samples of completed swords and koshirae in the Swords & Fittings section of this site. When you are ready to make an order, please send a message to this form and we can move forward with your order.
Payment by PayPal, check, or bank transfer.
Custom orders take 14-18 weeks depending on the details of the order. Deposit of 50% of final value to start the order, and pay the balance before shipping to you. All orders are inspected for quality before shipping to you, and you will be notified when it gets close to the delivery date.
